this wiliam jones cup is getting more and more a joke.
reserve teams or any club teams, lousy media coverage, a homepage that doesn`t works

a tournament which nobody need anymore under this circumstances

This year it just seems the organizers in Taiwan don't care much about this tournament.
Moreover without ESPN Taiwan covering this event like they did in previous years this is more evidence that there's no hype surrounding this tournament any longer.

This tournament is not that big compared to a decade ago.

    Philippines - 88
    Jordan - 80

From the looks of the updates, it seemed to be a very good, tight game with the winner decided by the break of the game at the end. Good job PH and best of luck to Jordan for their next matches. Hope to have more games with you.

Thanks for the score updates. Any luck with final scores for the two remaining games?

the Jones Cup is usually used by the Top Asian teams as a means to tune-up their respective Team-As and to scout the opposition in preparation for either the FIBA-Asia Championship or the Asian Games, with both events so far away, there is really no need for the Top Asian teams to spend money and send their best team composed of their best players, so if ever they'll participate, they'll either send their National Team Team-B, their Youth Team, a University team or selection, or even a club team in order to gain international experience.

from the looks of it sir it isn't, it is the only time to let the players in 7th -12th rotation in their nt lineup that they deserve to be starters now(Hussein of Jordan) and a try out ground for 13-17th player to the lineup that deserve to be in the A team.. and there is some teams used it to refamiliarize their "bagong luma" team

comparing the tournament field from 0210 and 2012 is already home run

If you are unable to reach site 2012wjc.basketball-tpe.org, follow these steps...I'm from the USA and it worked for me!

Basically you need to edit the host file on your computer. This will bypass the DNS server and allow you access.
    Start by following this site:
    http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file/

when you have followed these steps to open the file as an administrator, go to the next new line. Then copy and paste this:
    60.199.172.240 2012wjc.basketball-tpe.org

Save the host file, then go ahead and try to access the site! If it doesn't work, I can try to help anyone out.

Site setup is exactly same as 2011. It basically is an exact carbon copy except it has 2012 statistics.

    Japan lost to USA 94-73.

So far, Kosuke Takeuchi and Takatoshi Furukawa have been consistent. Furukawa is gaining more confidence in his shot.

It happened that i was awake and free early on saturday morning and had the chance to watch the game vs the US team. Ahmad Ibrahim didn't played, Jean is injured sadly, Famous is doing his role, Elie is in very good shape (the best player in the team currently), Rodrigue made a great shot at the end, Hussain El Khatib the slasher on D. Overall good game, not sure if this is the last game but not bad tournament from the NT. It's obvious enough that the team is progressing we started bad and now three wins in a row. Even though we could have beaten the US team with much bigger difference than 3 pts.

Took a screenshot at the end of Rodrigue's last play shot which made the difference 3 pts and the US team failed to score from the three point range.

I couldn't watch the game unfortunately but indeed a great performance by our NT! We still have to play the Japanese NT tomorrow for the last game.
