I am planning to have one of these eye surgeries later this year. It's much cheaper in Fatima Eye laser Center.

I remember a documentary film about one of the most famous LASIK clinic in Europe(in Germany, I think)...well the owner of the clinic was wearing glasses. Think about that.
Me personally: no-one is sticking a friggin laser in my eye. Also most of the people look better with glasses, just go and find a nice pair.

If you are sure about the surgery: good luck and get well soon

I had mine in 2007 when I was still living in Lebanon and so far i'm still alive and can see fine ... But it's true as Niko mentioned you can still notice that many ophthalmologists still wear eye glasses.
Actually I asked this question to my Dr. and he told me that he's now in his 50's and it doesn't mean much for him to go ahead with the surgery... He also told me that wearing lenses is still the worst option between the 3 (wearing lenses, wearing eyeglasses or having LASEK/LASIK surgery). I used to wear lenses back then but had this severe eye virus infection where my eyes were red for a long while and I couldn't wear lenses any longer as this seriously threatened my eye vision...
