The Iwate Big Bulls will be signing veteran combo guard Kenichi Takahashi, who is leaving the Sendai 89ers after six seasons.

Meanwhile, the expansion Tokyo Cinq Reves have signed Yuta Kurihara (Played for Takamatsu last season) and Chris Sasaki (Played for Chiba last season).

The Toyama Grouses have announced that Bob Nash will be their new head coach. Nash coached the Saitama Broncos for the 2010-11 Season.


Osaka Evessa have announced the acquisition of Taizo Kawabe from the Kyoto Hannaryz for cash considerations.

The Kyoto Hannaryz have signed former Houston Rockets center Marcus Cousin. Cousin is expected to anchor the team after Lance Allred's departure. Allred is now playing in Mexico.

Word on the news is that a local group of organizers are planning to bring a BJ-League team in Fukuyama, Hiroshima.

Panasonic will dissolve their basketball team, the Panasonic Trians after the 2012-2013 JBL Season. This is due to the lost of profits posted year by year.

The Tokyo Cinqreaves will most likely struggle against teams that will force the tempo against them as their transition defense will be exposed. But if head coach Motofumi Aoki will play the patient half-court game and will utilize his towering imports: Jonathan Jones (211-cm), Jared Carter (216-cm) and Milutinovic (211-cm) to pound it in, then a lot of uptempo happy teams will also struggle against Tokyo.

Tokyo's Cohey Aoki will be a huge factor on this team's success.
