Default Olympiacos wining Euroleague parallels to Chelsea winning Champions League

State your opinion about how similar the development of the main Basketball Trophy in Europe was this year, if compared to the main Football Trophy, Champions League.

    Default Similarities

Both teams had much higher budgets in the past, without managing to lift the trophy.
Just when budgets were cut, and no-one expected the trophy, it came right then.
Both teams reached the stage of the best 4 teams as the complete underdogs, and their
presence there was considered as a success already.
Both teams have well-off owners (proportionally to the scales of basketball vs football of course)
Angelopoulos Bros & Abramovich, who are really passionate about their teams,
but changed their philosophy through the years. Both teams are defense oriented,
a characteristic of most underdogs who fly high. Both teams didn't bear the pressure of the favourite.
Both teams are not based on a multitude of stars, but a combinations of 1-2 stars (basketball) / 3-4 stars (football)
with the rest of the players supporting the respective projects effectively.
Both teams are coach-based (not player based) - in comparison to their competitors (Who can claim Real Madirid
is not player-based despite the presence of Mourinio? Who can claim Barcelona in basketball is a coach based team,
not to mention CSKA in basketball?).
There are many differences of course, too.

Chelsea didn't deserve the trophy at all. Pure luck. They were outplayed totally by Barca, they were outplayed by Bayern in final, hell, even Benfica looked better that them and deserved to go to the semis more. I hardly remember when one team had such luck goin' through the tournament with their rivals wasted tons of chances, missed penalties and etc. And it's not like they chose to play defensive, that were their tactics or so, no way, simply rivals forced them to play like that, sometimes with 10 men behind the ball. Rubbish football.

While I couldn't say the same about Oly. They wasn't the best team in the competition of course, they probably would lost against CSKA some 8-9 games outta 10, but they've played some good bball here and there
