Aren't you too arrogant to label me as being blinded by my ideals? And what do U think of yourself? Genius, sensible, expert, broad-minded?

My friend, foolishness starts when one thinks he is a genius when he is far from being one!

Remember the impeachment trial of Corona? Sen. Miriam Santiago justified his acquittal verdict by marginalizing & insulting her fellow senators who voted to convict Corona. Miriam was like telling everybody that she alone understood law while the rest are stupid & ignorant.

But in the public opinion, it was Miriam who looked stupid & ignorant! That's what one gets when she or he talks as if the world revolves around her/his opinion.

Nobody's an expert in this forum. (Except for JPM, who has left us already) That's a lame excuse thrown around by superfans when grasping for straws. Then again, there's hope for you all you have to do is open your eyes...

Arrogant? Yes. Genius? Definitely no. What i do know is at least i recognize the truth. Have you done that lately?

Again, i admire you idealism. But if you listen to Nardy and the guys who know their stuff you'd know that it is NOT a perfect world...

dont worry DT, it will take months of suffering (because of chot) before he can fully understand the difference between "idealism" and "realism",

And what if Gilas-2 fails (heaven forbid)? You will still think, "PBA coaches are the most ideal coaches to handle to Nat'l. team, hiring a foreign coach is futile, what a foreign coach can do in international tournaments, PBA coaches can also do, even better".

Oh come on! I think U are the one who needs a wake up call!

This may be off topic, sorry!

I'd rather be a Lito Lapid than a cocky, arrogant & boasful Miriam! U don't know Miriam, do U? I'm from Iloilo & I know her background. She has a history of nervous breakdown! Everyone here in Iloilo knows that. U know what I mean!

Look at the way she talks during the impeachment hearing. She was like naghuhurumintado.

As extremely intelligent, articulate & shall we say, genius as Miriam is, she has a dark side.

As some people would say, geniusity is just a hairline away from insanity!
If one doesn't know how to balance, then most likely she/he will end up insane.

agree! let's see..if those in the collegiate wars aren't allowed then we would have to "settle" for the dleague standouts...half of which are fil-fors...are they eligible for fiba ball though? manuel is the only local dleaguer who comes to mind that is worth an invite.

See? That is where your (wrong) assumptions come in. Are the PBA coaches the best option/s? Not by any means-- i do feel a foreign coach can possibly do better. However, with the current situation-- MVP running things-- why do you think SBP jilted Toroman?

Again, wake up and smell the coffee: MVP/SBP fired Toroman. Who do you blame for that?

Do i believe PBA coaches can possibly do better in international competition than their foreign counterparts? i believe so-- Tim Cone comes to mind (actually the best option out there, locally) among many others.

    Again, reality vs. idealism:

How will SBP handle the Cadet Team/Pool? Will they dole out contracts like the last time around (Gilas I)? If yes, it's going to be a bidding war again. If no, why would the individual choose the NT Cadet over say the Draft (if they have to choose one only)

    Again, keep it real people.

bro i think signing with the cadet pool will guarantee you a contract just like the rookie, or should i say gilas 1 with a lower amount?

"utang na loob" to NLEX and MVP + money consideration ( and i think this is real, lets ask jpm )

    btw its real :P

i should have asked, "how real" and to what extent

Anyway, i do NOT disagree with you that a Cadet Pool will be formed. What i am iffy about is IF we'll get the entire ideal pool we all want. NLEX and MVP boys will surely get the nod-- say Ravena and Slaughter assuming UAAP/Ateneo loans them (again, to what extent? What's the practice session like DURING the college season? Once a week? Twice a week?). What about Parks? He should be one of the primary targets, right? Have the SBP talked to NU/Sy/UAAP already?

Again, i just want to know how this will go... The superfans will be disappointed again if this does NOT come into fruition (well, the complete "wishlist" for the young cadets) and i am preparing them for the worst...

those aren't assumptions by dt. regarding the cadet pool. it happened with gilas1 where it wasnt able to get maierhoffer, lee, menor et al. i guess we'll have to wait for the announcement and perhaps see what we have and work with what we have.
