Oh this will make some great topic fodder in coming weeks

Also Nigeria's 7-0? I didn't know they played anyone except Britain so far.
The Rules learned in the Prediction game.
    1: Brazil is always disappointing
2: Never dismiss Argentina solely because of age.
3: Never bet against Spain in a knockout game, unless it is against the US.

Well, I don't know if they have. But there are some errors that they need to work out. For example, they have Australia and Greece playing 3 games with each other. But that's actually Greece's select team. The Greek main team will be in South America at the time. So they have some kinks to work out there, but yeah, this thread should get interesting in the coming weeks.

Looks like they are counting Nigeria's friendlies against Chinese clubs. They also have Argentina B's games in Angola, but for whatever reason not Argentina or Brazil B's Sudamericano games. The GB vs. Lithuania Select games are GB U23 vs. Lithuania U21.

So it's a mess, but possibly still more accurate than the FIBA rankings.

hey now they're accurate, pointless and over way too long a stretch of time, but accurate.

The idea for FIBA's Power Ladder is pretty cool. But as previously mentioned, it needs some work. It doesn't mention Tunisia's preparation schedule in Turkey (they suppositely sparred with Turkish pro teams) or any of the Super 4 tournaments (one held in Venezuela and two in Argentina) played in South America over the past two weeks. Nor does it include "official" tournaments like the WABA Championship, South American Championship or Centrobasket, currently ongoing. If FIBA can tweak it to include all preparation tournaments and use an accumulation of results, they might finally develop a somewhat-accurate picture of how strong these teams are.

People really get confused about this, due to US media basically. Just like Team USA sent their A team second selection 2 years ago, but it was called a "C" team. The actual USA B team is the select team. That isn't Argentina's B team. It's just not their Olympics team either.

Due to US media nonsense, people have gotten totally confused as to what a B team really is. Just remember, for instance, USA's B team is their select team. It's not actually Argentina B team or whatever. A B Team is an an actual second national team. Like Team USA Select Team. A national team that does NOT have A team players in it.

So Argentina B, Team USA "C team" in 2010, etc., isn't true. It's still the A team players.

Let's hope they do that, and that they are still working on it.
