Is EuroChallenge a "free-signing" competition for all Europe or are there some countries with regulations to get in it?

All countries fill their places according to their national ranking, but with so many clubs giving up their places EuroChallenge more or less becomes a free signing competition. Only limit is, that no country is alllowed to have more than eight teams in all three European competitions. Only Russia, Turkey and France this season use all their eight spots.

Interesting. I thought the limit was seven between Euroleague and Eurocup. At least that's what people said in Spain.

That might be the case, too, and would explain, why last season Fuenlabrada as Spains 8th team played the EuroChallenge. Sevilla obviously this season had no interest to try to win the 3rd competition?

No, the bank that owns the team merged with other one and they are still negotiating the sponsorship of the team.

Spanish teams don't want to play EuroChallenge. Fuenlabrada was the exception. And as always, Spain thought they were going to win the competition without effort.

It's not easy as you said.
Winning a cup is problem for Spanish clubs? And it's also one way to join EuroCup.

I had heard rumors about that my team Pınar Karşıyaka will not attend eurochallenge this year, which had made me so happy. Dissapointed when I saw rumors were untrue. I'll have to watch some useless games again. wtf...

    Pinar Karsiyaka 74 : 76 Paris Levallois

    http://www.fibaeurope.com/cid_KNce8j...171-1-A-1.html

Paris Levallois have returned from the dead on the road to record a famous 76-74 victory in the opening game of their EuroChallenge quarter-final play-off series against Pinar Karsiyaka.

KafSinKaf is off to the Eurochallenge F4 by downing Paris Levallois 85-69 in front of an amazing home crowd. Great performances from Will Thomas, Robert Dixon, Melvin Sanders and Abdel Aminu at the Turkish side. The game started 0-7 but then KSK rallied off a 21-1 run to end the first quarter up 21-8. 4:30 into the second quarter they went up 35-12 at the end of a 35-5 run and they coasted into the victory from there. Great celebration of the great fans and the players after the game ended. KSK will face EWE Baskets from Germany in the semi final, the other matchup at the F4 will be Krasnye Krylia vs. Gravelines.
Go Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahçe Ülker and Los Angeles Lakers!

The Final Four, which will take place on 26 and 28 April 2013, will be hosted by one of the participating clubs. All clubs can submit their bid to host the event by the end of this week.

EuroChallenge Final Four 2013 Semi-Finals pairings:

Pinar Karsiyaka (TUR) vs. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (GER)

BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque (FRA) vs. Krasnye Krylia (RUS)

Pinar Karsiyaka 85 : 69 Paris Levallois (full game youtube link)

What is the meaning of 'Kaf Kaf Kaf Sin Sin Sin Kaf Sin Kaf Sin Kaf' in English?

Edit : Thank you for 'UMUT_FB_LAL' 'Khalid80' prompt reply.

The full name of the club is Karsiyaka Spor Kulubu, the abbreviation is KSK. KSK was founded in 1912, according to the Ottoman alphabet which was used at the time the letter K's name is Kaf, the name of S is Sin. That's where it comes from.

    In Arabic: K = Kaf and S = Sin

The code of the team is also 35 1/2 which was created by fans for the area of Karşıyaka as opposed to Izmir's code of 35

BTW: Oldenburg has already told the press they won't host the Final Four. They (the team) are moving to a new arena in the weeks around the F4 and they're also worried about the financial risks hosting a F4. So they decided not to apply for it.
