What's up with Martinez? What a petulant little huge black man, who could easily rip my head from my shoulders. No class at all.

Anyway, we controlled the game, hit the basket from anywhere and DR gave up too easily. Maybe because they knew Nigeria was waiting for them. Oh it would be so sweet and funny if Nigeria won tomorrow .

Awesome team game! Every play got on the court and scored and each made a great impact. Here we come London!!

Yes we are equal champions in this tournament along with Russia. Who would win? Hard to say and I guess we just have to wait for our 6th consecutive Olympics to find out!

Is that Macedonian troll "stojanov8" still around? I bet he'll get a heart attack once he finds out the score .

True. And I didn't know there won't be a final till tonight. I was hoping to see that. But it's good Lithuania flying home already

I wrote this question a while ago asking if the first two teams in from the OQT go into Group A and someone said that they take the three teams from the OQT and do a random draw. Does anyone know for sure how this works?

Both groups are strong. A is superior in talent, but B doesn't have Tunisia.
Lithuania > Serbia 5:1 in official games this century

Some serious group! It will be tough, but Lithuania can beat all teams except USA. This experience is very useful in terms of team play, communication. Now it's important to rest our veterans and leaders and to improve weaks spot. We will probably have an addition of Jasaitis and Seibutis as well. At least Jasaitis is a must in my book.

I don't think that can be the case. FIBA would not put the first two qualifiers, Russia and Lithuania, in the same group, particularly since they're both European teams. FIBA would want them split, just as Spain and France were split into opposite groups.

Listen, dude, this is thy Olympics. Both groups should be "death groups". Unfortunately that's not the case, BUT 1 out of 2 is as good as we could expect. We do want to watch basketball of the highest level as it gets, now do we?

Lithuanian NT always had medal ambitions in Olympics so group stage shouldn't bother us. If we're good enough for the medals, we should at least be decent in group stage. If not, well, why bother? Other teams will prove to be better and we'll go home early.

So, guys, stop with the preemptive whining. We'll get to see some sweet sweet Olympic basketball.

    One more time

The remaining 3 qualifiers for the Men’s tournament will be decided at the Olympic qualifying tournament featuring Angola, Dominican Republic, Greece, Jordan, Korea, Lithuania, FYROM, New Zealand, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Russia and Venezuela – a draw on the final day of the qualifying tournament on July 8th will determine which of the 3 qualifying teams join which groups

    Congratulations everyone

Did anyone notice that the clock was stopped for a while (~15-20 seconds), but the game went on? The game was not stopped and the time was not corrected. Right now it does not really matter anymore, but still...

Thanks God we made it. London will be a good place for Šaras, Kaukenas, Songaila and Javtokas to finish their career in national team by winning Olympic medal. That would be a perfect farewell
