Burnaby BC's Simon Fraser University becomes the first non-American school to gain NCAA athletic eligibility:

Interesting. I see they will compete in Division II in basketball. This should become a trend for Canadian basketball to develop further.

Also interesting is that last year, Vancouver's University of British Columbia (UBC) was considering joining the NCAA themselves. They ultimately declined. I wonder now with SFU joining the NCAA if they may reconsider?
