What happened to Zalgiris today? How come they lost to Cedevita?

    I didn't see the game, so I'm wondering .

you must be blind as well.
I just did not care about your term of "commy times".I even damn underlined that for you.Like this.

I did not call you them names too, only mentioned to our English speaking friends what your nick means.
So if my nick was "stupid twat",most people would probably react accordingly to my posts too.
    get a grip,man.

I like what I see there from Adas Juškevičius. Visually he even reminds me Jeremy Lin a little bit Anyway while in Youth tournaments he looked like a 4rd or 5th option after Janavičius, Vasiliauskas, Lipkevičius and others, now he might end up having the best upside from all of them. I really love his footwork, toughness, his IQ is decent, he can play pick and roll and can get to the basket. His shot is a little bit rigit, but I see a player out there. He's working in defence as well. I think he should stick to PG position because I've noticed before he's a player that needs the ball in his hands and not so effective as off the ball SG. I hope he'll continue to work hard. He might end up as really tough, quick and pretty skilled guard at the end of the day. The only quesion is - what is his ambitions because he seems very calm and low profile guy. That could be a problem going far.

    The flick from the future...

So Zalgiris went 8-2 in the regular season to claim the top spot in the group stage. Just as I predicted .

Next round is a little bit more difficult - each team will have to play 14 games, and the top 4 teams from each group will qualify to Top 8. I think Zalgiris can do it. My predictions (unless something radically changes, then my predictions don't count):

    Brose Baskets - 2 wins*
    ALBA Berlin - 2 wins*
    Anadolu Efes - 2 wins*
    Real Madrid - 1 win, 1 loss
    Panathinaikos - 1 win, 1 loss
    CSKA - 1 win, 1 loss
    Unicaja - 2 wins*

    * There may be an upset from any one of those teams (just like with Cedevita), so I add 1 loss.

TOTAL Record: (10-4). Second (or first) place in the TOP 16.

Hmm,very optimistic outlook you have here ...
i think we should hope for us to be plus one or two games over half in the end.(So that's 8-9 wins altogether).

    Should be enough.
Player's wise - and i mean no disrespect - Oliver(he is just not in the mood most of the time) and Mario (lack of skills for the moment for this type of competition) are the ones they should let go and replace. Pity that Songaila refused to sign for Zalgiris, but there is still time.Maybe Javtokas then, but not sure how ready he will be.Klimavicius is out for the season, right, but then again he was never a clutch player.
Letting Kaukenas go would be suicidal and detrimental .

Props goes for Plaza, you know he is not going to take any bullshit from any one.
But all in all, this is ridiculously good season so far.

Funny how suddenly one lost game can put things in to perspective .
We played badly again in a badly played game from both sides.
Players seem to be out of shape especially Kaukenas,if you don't mind me saying, but he looked fat.
Good thing was that we managed again to come back into the game late into fourth quarter.
Good thing is that we still have 15 games to go,so this one lost game might be long forgotten by the time this round is over.

Very fun for me to read about who speaks russian / who doesn't in Lithuania. I came to Lithuania in 2005, I learned russian there because I was living in some suburb of Vilnius where russian was dominant and then believed that russian would be helpful everywhere in Lithuania, just surprised when I discovered in Kaunas youngs who didn't even understand a basic russian word. I had time to study how things work regarding languages in Lithuania and what you say durnas...oops sorry...durns...is absolutely right.

I finally speak now better lithuanian than russian simply because of my passion for Zalgiris and my trips to Kaunas...watching so many games in lithuanian on TV, reading so many pages on krepsinis.net.

Returning to games, I was afraid some days ago when Mad Vlad started his circus about salaries of players, request of money from fans, etc but I think that team remains focused. I am just disapointed by the low number of 3 points shoot, very low for a lithuanian team.

Prediction for top 16 : qualified to next round, but in 4th position

Bad sportsmanship by two Spanish players in the game versus Real Madrid. In the first episode, Rudy Fernandez (#5) threw the ball at Ksystof Lavrinovic's (#33) head. In the second episode, Fernandez provoked Jankunas (#13) into a scuffling match between the Real bench. Then, Felipe Reyes (#9), grabbed Jankunas by the neck, pulled on his neck, then his face, and abruptly released.

Jaaber left Zalgiris due to religious reasons. His religion forbids alcohol and betting, and Zalgiris' jersey endorses both. Also, he didn't like Lietkabelis cheerleaders (no elaboration on this point). As a result (possibly - there might be other reasons), he sat out the whole game.

So now there's a gap in the PG position. What do you guys think, should Zalgiris look for a new PG, or can they manage with Juskevicius backing up Lafayette?

Depends on Juškevičius' performance against ALBA I would guess. Hopefully he will get some serious playing time now.

Interesting...Never knew Jaaber was a devout Muslim. He should play in the CBA or even in Lebanon if he wants.. He'll kill the competition and can get a good salary as well... Any idea how much his contract was worth in Zalgiris?
