Kirilenko is the missing link today. The last element needed for a Russian upset.

Aww Spain has bounced back in the 4th and they have done it without Pau inside.

Ibaka only played 9mins in this game. Pau only 23mins with 3mins to go.

Sergio Rodriguez playing big for Spain down the stretch.

    Pau Gasol FT fail...

About Shved vs. Blatt, Shved played really well against China, I think close to a double-double and then Blatt came to the press conference and blasted him for holding the ball too long "I did not like how he played". I was quite surprised by that.

    Wow big win for Russia!

Ponksharov, Khryapha and Mozgov with clutch baskets. Fridzon sealed the win.

Well played Russia. When they stopped Spanish counterattack and improved defense the match changed. Congratulations for them.

Jokes aside I do wonder what sort of tactics we'll see in the Spain-Brazil game. Especially since Spain has dominated France in recent Eurobaskets.

    Congratulations to Russia.
Shved played 1:30 in the entire 2nd half. He started the 4th, shot a contested 3-pointer and in the next play Navarro scored an open 3 from the corner. From the replay it seemed that he was Shved's defensive assignment. Blatt subbed him right away. It turned out well though, since Ponkrashov played a key role. I hope this issue doesn't have a negative effect on Shved for the rest of the tournament.

I bet Spain will 'unintentionally' lose against Brazil now, to avoid Usa in the semis. fair play.

    Congrats to Russia

When the spaniards took back a decent lead (69-60 with about 5 mn to play) I thought it was over.
Kudos for getting back into the game AGAIN.

But there is a rule that says you are out of the tournament if you "unintentionally lose" unless you are a brit, then it's a translation issue and it's funny.

Will Brazil-Spain be a tanking fest? That would be awful. I think Spain will play it seriously.

Jose Garbajosa (Spanish TV) told Jacques Monclar and Richard Dacoury (French TV) that Spain would voluntarily lose the last game, to play France in the quarter-finals

Spain - Brazil, the loser gets a chance to a quarter final against erratic France and avoid USA bracket.
    Interesting ...

If Spain wins against Brazil they get Argentina, if they lose, they get France.

What's the most likely scenario in the semis? Will the Brazil game dictate the semis outcome already? Can someone share the USA bracket?
