Default Group B, Day 4: China vs. Brazil

This is normally the sort of game China wins to sneak into the quarterfinals.

Not China's day. On the plus side, the Chinese guy who is about to win the 20km walk has been exchanging high fives with the fans as he completes his last lap.

One of the good things I saw in China is Cheng Jianghua is China's best guard... to think it does not reflect on his stats at Guandong?

Brazil/Spain should be good....if both teams don't try to tank.

The Rules learned in the Prediction game.
    1: Brazil is always disappointing
2: Never dismiss Argentina solely because of age.
3: Never bet against Spain in a knockout game, unless it is against the US.

Aaron Brooks 40min/game (previous seasons = Smush Parker and Lester Hudson), do you think Chen Jianghua gets any chance? We need to think about how we can get Chinese players playing time in the CBA with these NBA-level imports.

Despite the humiliating score, I think I'm satisfied with China's performance, at least more so than previous 2 games. Brazil had a hot shooting day from the 3pt line and their big men destroyed us on the glass, considering Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhizhi both injured their knees from the Australian game I can't be too angry (Wang's is more serious and still swollen, therefore he only played like 2 minutes). Offense we executed much better than the previous 2 games, we got to the line 30 times (despite not making many), and one-on-one and getting blocked in traffic still beats standing around and turning the ball over in the perimeter. Sun Yue is still day-to-day (man how many players have to go down every time we play Australia?) and to fill his role, benchwarmer Guo Ailun started and played 26 minutes and was OK, all things considered.

Now we need GB to beat Australia by 20+ pts so that we still have a shot to advance
