Agree! & sad to say some posters here who actually belong to the intelligent class would tell you, "eh anong magagawa mo eh ganun talaga? kaya manahimik ka na lang"

It's really sad to say that "some" Ginebra fans would feel ecstatic seeing their team winning a PBA championship & would not care what will happen to our nat'l. team. I do have my favorite PBA team but I don't root for that team as much I am rooting for our nat'l team. I would rather see the Philippine team winning the bronze medal in the Asian Championships rather than seeing my favorite PBA team winning 10 championships in the PBA.

What's the significance seeing a Filipino team beating another Filipino team?

At least we see more Filipino players, not all can be national team members. But people want to be like Rob Labagala who may be not the most talented out there but thru good attitude and hard work make it to the big league. Have you ever wonder you watch Filipino movie stars and you want them to be alongside hollywood and asian stars? It give us hope if we able to play at least in a competitive basketball game in our level.. ikaw manonood ka nalng ba lagi or do you want to play the game you love? PBA is still the reason why basketball is no. 1 sport here..

despite the availability of local basketball forums, it's kinda disturbing to still see some fans who prefers to see their favorite team to pile-up their line-ups compare to our national team, there was even a thread in pex which discusses or should i say attacks the Log of MVP in the Uniform of Team Pilipinas last jones cup.

They didn't even know whos's the man behind our national team.

Philippines have the second most championship titles (4) in the Jones Cup behind USA.

And stopped the four-peat bid of the Iranian juggernaut in the process. Sweet.

I look forward to a collision course with all these vengeful teams in Tokyo (FIBA-Asia Cup). Bring 'em on, I say.

To all about's credit , this is the dude who predicted we would win the Jones cup who everyone else thought was a joke, \I wish I could share the same optimisim for the Asia cup, but let's have guarded optimisim here. Winning the Jones cup doesn't mean we are absolute favourites to make it into the top 3, for all you know we could be out in the quarterfinals. loosing say to Japan in the quarters is not really a huge upset.
