I remember when I was in highschool and didn't make the cut in the varsity team, a time where mostly young kids develop their skils to get college athletic scholarships. I recalled the Philippine Centennial team losing to China and routed by the Koreans in 98. The reality sets in that our best PBA players aren't good enough to get past asian level competition

If we Filipinos are so into basketball, we could integrate a subject exclusively for basketball for highschool kids or even in college. I believe it's feasible, instead of the traditional physical education subject, lets teach these kids how to play ball at a very young age, make them learn the traditional basketball plays and techniques, particularly the tall ones. I do acknowledge the fact that not everyone can play professionally but exposing our kids to basketball could possibly produce a coach, general manager, or even invent a basketball-technology software that would benefit our national team in the future. Lets take it up another notch.
