I totally agree with u. I totally undestand that he's frustrated. During all last year he did excellent numbers, proved to be the best tall man of the team, and right now he's just playing.. 14min!!

The problem is that in Atlanta right now Hotford is playing as a center (he's much more a pf) and Josh Smith and even sometimes Williams (both are sf's) normally play as a pf.
Half of the NBA is looking for quality tall players and Zaza is just warming the bench there... I hope there's a medical explanation or something like that for this. Otherwise, his coach should wake up or he should look for a transfer.

I'm a native Atlantan and Hawks fan and to be honest, Paculia is average at best. If the Hawks had a PG and/or a C, they'd be a playoff team. Pachulia is too finesse and too inconsistent.........

I disagree that he's average at best. He is an average centre compared to others in the league, that's for sure, but a good option for the Hawks as has already showed previously.
With Shelden Williams and Lorenzen Wright getting trade to the Kings, I hope Pachulia will get more playing time and a more active role from now on.

I hate to break it to you, but he probably won't. Not with Al Horford as the heir apparent on the low block.

I really think that the Hawks will/need to acquire a marquee center in the offseason (as they have the salary to do so) and shift Horford to his natural position, PF........

Pachulia has been playing about 14 minutes per game these play-offs. Last night, he earned the respect of the fight-hungry crowd when he stood up to Kevin Garnett.
Hawks Surprise Celtics -- April 29, 2008, by Paul Newberry, AP

...In the second quarter of Game 4, things really got testy. Kevin Garnett threw an elbow at Zaza Pachulia while going for a loose ball. The rugged Pachulia got right in Garnett’s face, going forehead to forehead with the Boston star.

“We all know he’s a great player,” Pachulia said. “He’s done a lot of good things for the league. He’s a future Hall of Famer. But it doesn’t matter when we’re on the court.”

The officials stepped in quickly and Woodson charged onto the court to pull his players away. No punches were thrown and no one was ejected, though the officials did call offsetting technical fouls—two on each team—after looking at a replay.

“I don’t take anything from anybody,” Pachulia said. “The message was, ‘We’re right here. Even if we lose, it’s not going to be easy.”’ ...
Leveled -- Boston Globe, April 29, 2008, by Marc J. Spears

...To make matters worse for the Celtics, it's possible that Garnett and Kendrick Perkins could be suspended for Game 5 for their involvement in a second-quarter skirmish last night. Hawks forward Marvin Williams also is in jeopardy.

After a loose rebound with 7:24 left in the half, a frustrated Garnett gave Atlanta center Zaza Pachulia an elbow after the play was dead. Pachulia retaliated with what appeared to be a head butt. Players on both teams began to bunch up and mouth off, but the coaches ran on the floor to separate them.

Pachulia was given a foul and technical foul while Garnett, Johnson, and Boston's Sam Cassell were assessed technicals.

Replays showed Garnett shoving referee Ed Rush, and Perkins and Williams went on the floor from the bench, which usually means an automatic one-game suspension....
Hawks Blog -- Micah Hart, April 29, 2008

...What did amaze me was the WAY they won. Between coming back from Boston's opening 16-3 salvo (it didn't even take a quarter!), and then battling back the way they did in the fourth, Atlanta showed some intestinal fortitude I'm not sure I've seen from them this season and I am certain Boston didn't think they had. Zaza Pachulia's dust-up with Kevin Garnett may not have lasted more than a few seconds, but it perfectly encapsulated this series. The Celtics tried to push the Hawks around, but Atlanta showed they weren't afraid to go toe-to-toe....
Hawks Have a Real Shot...Seriously -- Atlanta Journal Constitution, By Mark Bradley, April 28, 2008

...Everything that worked for Boston in Games 1 and 2 — and pretty much everything did — has ceased working. The snooty C’s are the team that keeps getting rattled, from Paul Pierce’s “menacing gesture” (for which the NBA fined him $25,000) toward Horford in Game 3 to Kevin Garnett’s square-off with Zaza Pachulia last night. Yes, one of the world’s best players got into it with one of the worst, thereby illustrating how frazzled this No. 1 seed has become....

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. If you click on that article, you should see the responses from the Atlanta fans who are giving that writer hell...

Quiet season so far for Zaza (a continuation from last season), but he managed to grab 18 rebounds against the Wizards, matching his career-high.

Zaza had his second double-double this season (vs Mavericks): 13 pts + 12 rebs + 2 steals + 2 blocks.
He had extended playing time since Horford was out and he did his best.

Pachulia made a great contributions to Atlanta's first playoff game this year. Pachulia had a double-double: 10 points, 10 rebounds as Atlanta destroyed Miami. He played 19 minutes against Orlando, guarding Dwight Howard.

Pachulia has been playing good in the playoffs. I think he's just proving everyone all he needed was time and confidence to return to his game.

And also he just proved that he can be similar with Rocky Balboa! During his last game against Miami, his right eye was black, and his face was dotted with nicks and scrapes.
Perhaps with such FIGHTING mood he wouldn,t have problems with playing time on the court.

In both of Atlanta's victories against Miami, Pachulia has scored a double-double. He's playing like he was 3 years ago when he was a starter. He was absolutely critical in yesterday's game. 18 rebounds! That's pretty good!
