Brazilian-Lebanese giant Emil Rached
Emile Rached played in Brazil for some years and he was 230 cm or so.
From what I've read he was born in Brazil, certainly Lebanese ancestry. That's his father next to him. It seems he was 228 cm or 226 cm according to some websites.

He was the tallest Brazilian player ever along with Damião Rodrigues, both standing 2.20m.

He was famous in Brazil for his participation in a very popular comedy TV show called Os Trapalhões and for some movies with the same group.
That show was played in Portugal as well, but not when Rached was taking part.

Emil Assad Rached (June 20, 1943 – October 15, 2009) was a former Brazilian basketball player of Lebanese origin. Assad participated at the 1967 FIBA World Championship with the Brazil national basketball team winning the bronze (third place). He was the tallest Brazilian national player.
