Euroleague's arguments are a joke. They simply didn't want to replay the game. I have the feeling that the people who work there are not very bright anyway. Their basis of explanation is very weak. Opportunities are relative and can not be measured. The only objective measurement is the clock and the points which are made in illegal time. They had to build their story on that. But since they didn't want to replay the game, they couldn't. So they gave a clean pass on an illegal open lay-up, because the oponent got a chance to make an under pressure 3 point shot.
So, if Olympiakos had scored the three and Siena had filed a complaint, than the response would also be negative because they made a lay up in illegal time. Equally rediculous.
