Thread: A1. Day 9

    Default A1. Day 9

Olympia L - PAOK. 1. PAOK is a better team but Olympia has the home advantage and needs to win to avoid "troubles".
Makedonikos - AEL. 2. Makedonikos somehow manages to win home games, but i believe that's over.....
Panionios - AEK. 1. Although greek media predict a close game, i believe it would an easy win for Panionios.
PAO - Apollon P. 2 . Just jocking, it would be a very easy game for the greens.
Aris - Aigaleo. 1. I wish for an away win for my home team Aigaleo, but Aris is so much better. Maybe Aigaleo will take an away win, but this definetely won't happen in Alexandreio.
Olympiada P - Olympiakos. 2. An easy game for the reds.
Maroussi - Panellinios. 1. That's the real derby. But Maroussi looks in better form right now.

Olympia Larissa-PAOK 60-40 although PAOK comes from a big ULEB Cup win, I believe in Olympia's skills and predict their win
    Makedonikos-AEL 55-45(!!!) I c another surpise here
    Panionios-AEK 70-30 totally agree with final_countdown
Aris-Aigaleo 75-25 only if Aris' players underestimate their opponents can we c a surprise
PAO-Apollon 95-5 the ball has a sphere shape, the rim is made of iron, hope always dies last, PAO has not come yet 2 the court so there is still hope they won't show up, xmas is coming so it's time 4 charity, gifts and good actions...ok I found 5 reasons 4 Apollon 2 win so i can justify my 5%
Olympiada Patras-Olympiacos 30-70 "Clever people learn from others' mistakes, stupid ones learn from their own"
Maroussi-Panellinios 60-40 Maroussi looks 2 find its shape, Panellinios probably won't have Gary Trent, I predict a close game but a Maroussi win

Olympia L - PAOK51-49. PAOK usually wins at Larissa, but Olympia is a decent team and I would give them the slight edge for this one, despite the apparent improvement of PAOK recently.

Makedonikos - AEL 45-55. AEL will be prepared for this one, even though they suck big time at away games. Mak will have Dobbins back, but he has not trained with the team for over 10 days and he would still be jet-lagged too.

Panionios - AEK 60-40. I would really enjoy seeing AEK being thrashed.

PAO - Apollon P 80-20. Not much needs to be said.

Aris - Aigaleo 65-35. I can see Aris underestimating the citizens but it will be an Aris win no doubt.

Olympiada P - Olympiakos 40-60. I can't see Olympiada pulling another huge upset, especially now that they are a bit out of shape. Will Boudouris be available to play?

Maroussi - Panellinios 55-45. Very interesting one. I gave Maroussi the slight advatange due to the homecourt, but it will be a close game I feel.

I particularly like Darius Washington.I also saw him in Tuesday's game vs Unics Kazan(by the way they beat CSKA Moscow today 101-83!!!) and he was very good again.Unlike many Americans he is a good defender and he can organize the game well.He is a player with heart and he likes 2 take crucial shots. If he continues like this I bet he will find another contract here if he wants to...
He may have cost me a few money as I had bet on Olympia but he is a player I like 2 watch from PAOK.

Aris - Aigaleo:66-62. We were close, but ....next time maybe
    PAO - Apollon P:81-61.
    Maroussi - Panellinios:88-70.
    Olympiada P - Olympiakos:68-75.

Gherson stated after the game for Bouroussis (20 p, tonight):"God and I gave him (Bouroussis) the chance and he was very good tonight".

Another good game by Printezis. I rate him above Vasilopoulos. He is more athletic, his drive to the basket is superior and his more comfortable with the ball in his hands than Vasilopoulos.
Both are below average three point shooter but Printezis has the advantage because unlike Vasilopoulos he doesn't have a slow shot release

His coach in Larissa puts him at PF but make no mistake he has a small forwards game. I like the way he moves in the court, he has a lot of energy in his game unlike Vasilopoulos who looks lame.

When Vasilopoulos played for PAOK it would be a success for him if he scored more than 10 points. He NEVER scored more than 20 points when playing for PAOK.

I kinda like Printezis and his energy, he's fun to watch with the dunks and all...
Vassiolopoulos can play some D and do the intangibles but Printezis looks longer and more athletic imo...
