    Default Victor Claver

I came across some videos on youtube of Victor Claver and I
wondered what people here thought of his potential. He is
really athletic from what I've seen but what are his other
    strengths?

The kid could be a great player in a couple of years, bearing in mind also his determination. He averaged 11 ppg in the four games Pamesa Valencia played in the playoffs, which for a 19-year-old is damn good.

I think the U-19 championship showed just how good this guy is.He is the next Pau Gasol or at the very least the next Garbajosa, tremenduos skills for a player his age.

Actually Claver hasn’t level to be regular in ACB, but because nobody gave him confidence. He is young and usually do mistakes as most youngers, but Katsikaris really don't believe in him and always use him as center or power forward, he should start to play like Kirilenko as 3. I m quite sure if he would be playing in Joventut with Rudy and Rubio, he should be a big start in ACB this season.

He started the season pretty good: 20 pts (2/2 FG, 4/4 3pt, 4/4 FT) adding 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Although i think that in the long term he would be more useful as PF he seems to be more confident playing as SF and he'll play that position in Pamesa this year.

Some clips from the 2007 world junior championship.

    broken leg
    out five months

Pamesa Valencia have been rocked by the news that Victor Claver, one of the most exciting young talents in Spain will miss up to five months of action after suffering a fracture to his left leg.He will undergo an operation that will mean he will be missing until April 2009 in a real blow for Neven Spahija as the recently appointed coach tries to realise the Euroleague ambitions of the team. Claver, who is known for his athletic and exciting style above the rim has been having a good season and will be missed badly by Tarjona.
