Her coach in North Carolina is a former Olympic coach of the US and would not release her.

when we asked Chay Shegog she was still with the Tar Heels, she declined and pointed to her coach, Sylvia Hatchell. Even her mother, Theresa Poblete Shegog who is a full filipina is non-committal. Here in the Philippines we do not force our people to play, if she really wants to she knows how to contact us.
