Default Why wont FIBA put a sideline events?

Why wont Fiba put some sideline events on the Asian Championships like 3 point shoot out, Slam Dunk Competition and point guard challenge. With the rise the popularity of BBall in Asia i think this would be a marketable event during the Asian Championships and we'll know who's the best dunker and 3 point shooter in Asia.

These side events were an integral part of the now dormant Asian All-Star Extravaganza that was staged annually from 1997 to 2000.

Hope the FIBA-Asia revives this great event pitting the Asian All-Stars against the national team of the host country.
