When instead of papaloukas, spanoulis and diamantidis we ll have saras, macas and siskaouskas we ll shoot from the 3 pt line.

One defensively weak player in the roster and the whole game system of the greek NT collapses.Bring Vasileiadis or Tsaldaris(or both) in the squad and give them time and u will c if we can shoot 3p too...

I don't think any of them is weak defensively. Well, if we compare them 2 Diamantidis, they r weak but they r not bad defenders overall. Plus we all saw what happens if u don't have players who can put the ball in the net. Easy points r necessary 4 our team and the thing we miss is points from outside.

What to do with Papadopolus? He is playing very bad the whole season. Even against Bamberg he is not able to make a good game. He earns over 2mio and like he plays he is the most overpaid player in europe now.
How about sending him hang with Sofo, get a few kg(~20 maybe?) and then send him instead of Sofo 2 a special treatment center in Switzerland?
We could get rid of him very effectively this way.

Pridezis deserves a calling to the National Team. He's getting better and better...
Printezis and Vasiliadis should definitively be on the roster of the national team. The question is if Giannakis will be able to change his game system in a way that allows integration of that kind of players.
Regarding Pelekanos I am not sure if he should remain on the roster. He has not improved his game much this year and he is already 26/27 years old.
What is for sure is that we have a problem with our centers. All of them Schortsianitis, Papadopoulos and Bouroussis are not in shape.
In addition it will be interesting to see if the older ones like Dikoudis, Kakiouzis and Papaloukas will really decide to play again this summer for the NT.

Yes many of our players are not in shape this year. But on the other hand, they were in good shape last year untill Eurobasket. Only Spanoulis was in good shape. Our only reliable shooters are Zisis and Fotsis. Zisis was out of shape and Fotsis was out.
Greece was too predictable in the tournament.
I've noticed that in games were Greece shoots well from outside, they are almost unstopable.
I don't care if they are not in shape at the moment. As long as they are in shape during the summer.

We need a good "pure" shooter and Vasiliadis can offer answers there. Printezis has been by far the MIP and deserves a call up and maybe even, NT birth.
I'm 100% sure Koufos will be in the squad as we are looking rather weak under the rim. Tsartsaris, Dikoudis, Papadopoulos are abbysmal whilst Sofo is not even on the map.

I thought that it'd be interesting to have a look on how the NT players, potential NT players and former NT players/callups are doing this season, concerning their statistics. Of course statistics don't cover a lot of things, like defense, teamplay, a PGs ability to dictate the rhythm of a game, etc.. and one has to keep in mind that it's a different thing to put up good stats for a "small" club than for a "big" EL club, but still it's interesting imho.
I kept out Sofo, as he's not on the basketball map atm and I don't think that he'll be called, even if he's in better shape this summer, as he was out of action for a year.

Koufos, Printezis, Tsaldaris and Vasiliadis, are the most impressive so far players, not currently playing for NT...
I'm actually not too happy with Koufos development so far - I've seen some of his Ohio State games and he really has difficulties to finish under the rim, plus he has next to no lowpost moves yet. I'd invite him to training camp anyways, since he's a huge prospect and needs to get closer to the team, but unless he explodes in the rest of the season I don't see how he can help on the NT level, if he struggles in the NCAA already.
Printezis in his current shape should be invited to the camp, don't know if he can take a spot there though. Vassilopoulos currently plays awful in the EL on the offensive end and has one minor injury after the other, but now that Chatzivrettas is gone we need a defensive stopper next to Diamantidis more than ever.
Tsaldaris and Vassiliadis should fight over Chatzivrettas spot (if Giannakis indeed searches for a shooter), with an advantage for Tsaldaris so far, as he plays a lot in the EL and also plays better defense.
Pelekanos place should be in jeopardy, given how little playtime he receives in Madrid.
On the C position we don't have many choices atm, so I believe that Papadopoulos and Bouroussis are set (and should both definately be invited for the camp), unless somebody else comes out of nowhere.
All potential candidates on the PG position on my list have the problem that they're PGs - the least position we need another player on.
Tsiaras and Kyritsis are turnover-prone, Sakota is soft and foul-prone, Mavrokefalidis doesn't play much, Glyniadakis doesn't play much in Maroussi

Did he? I'm not sure, I thought that he was only thinking about it. If he retired his spot should go to Printezis (or Koufos, if he improves).Well I think Kakiouzis retired if I'm right....

Maybe Captain Papadopoulos Hook also must start thinking of retirement ( from NT at least ). He is the worst Papadopoulos of the last years.

Yep this is a problem...
About Sofo, I hope he will work twice hard now, with Giannakis as coach of his team. We really need healthy Sofo in the NT ( and in Olympiakos of course ).
