Default Matt Freije as subsititute for Joseph Vogel on National Team

Joseph Vogel is currently 35 years old. His productivity has been decreasing over the last few years. I don't think he can keep playing competitive basketball at a high level for more 2 years.
I believe that Matt Freije would be the perfect candidate for replacing him. Matt has played in the NBA for a few years (I believe he played for the Atlanta Hawks) and he is still young so he will definitely be a valuable asset for the Lebanese National Team.

Matt is currently playing in puerto rico.
    2008:Guayama Brujos (LXXX BSN-Puerto rico):17.2ppg,6.4 rpg
Nothing forbid him to play with us except his professional career in the NBA,
Theres some talk about him next year with Sagesse,i dont know!

Khalid,Matt freije is a very good player but hes a small forward and sometimes Power forward, our NT needs a center. So matt cant be instead of Vogel.

    Default Matt Freije is 6'9

    Yo Daniab!
I believe that Matt Freiji is 6'9 which is 206 cm. For international standards ur correct he's a small/power forward but since in Lebanon we don't have any good players over 205 cm that is why I thought he might be a good replacement for Joe Vogel.
If he's a good shooter then can u consider him as a Brian Bshara type of player?
Height is very important in basketball but some players are naturally talented rebounders. I mean look at Hussein Tawbe. He's 195/196 but he's an excellent rebounder and has helped Riyadi many times in getting critical rebounds as a subsititute for Vogel. (I always like to compare him to Charles Barkley who was an excellent rebounder in the NBA even though he was 6'5 (196 cm) ).

    Yo Khalid!
Matt is a great shooter with ability to penetrate and score from the mid range.
I believe that he will be a great addition on pos 3 and 4,he is a sizing player as he can fit our need.

the lebanese lady Aida Bakhos profile http://lamarcardinals.cstv.com/sport...os_aida00.html

At Lamar 57, Northwestern State 46

BEAUMONT, Texas - Despite turning the ball over a season-high 26 times on Saturday afternoon, the Lamar University women’s basketball team held on for a 57-46 win over Northwestern State behind solid shooting and winning the battle on the boards.

Lamar improves to 12-6 on the year and 5-0 in Southland Conference play with the win, while Northwestern State falls to 8-11 overall and 1-5 in conference. At 5-0 the Lady Cardinals are the only unbeaten team in the conference after Texas State fell to UTSA in San Marcos this afternoon.

Leading by four at halftime at 32-28, the Lady Cardinals could not find a rhythm in the early going of the second half. Northwestern State used a 7-2 run to grab a one point lead at 35-34 with 15:48 to play.

After a slow five minutes of play which saw the two teams score a combined two points, the Lady Cardinals grabbed a 37-36 lead on an Aida Bakhos lay up with 11:24 to play. The layup gave LU the lead for good, as their defense shut down Northwestern State over the final 11 minutes.

Over the final 11 minutes of the game the Lady Cardinals used a 19-11 run to close the door on the Lady Demons. The run was keyed by a solid offensive effort in which LU only turned the ball over one time in the final 6:34 of the contest.

Nikki Williams finished with a game-high 13 points, while Brittney Williams scored 12 points for the Lady Cards. Aida Bakhos narrowly missed her second double-double of the season with nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Trashanna Smith had a solid effort off the bench with seven points and a career-high eight rebounds.

The Lady Demons had no players score in double figures in the game, but Renotta Edwards, Brooke Shepherd and Jessica McPhail each finished with nine points. Tena Matthews, who was averaging 21.4 points and 12.2 rebounds in conference play, was held to eight points and six rebounds.

As a team the Lady Cardinals shot 43.8 percent from the field while holding Northwestern State to 31.5 percent. Lamar also won the rebounding battle 43 to 31.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The lone senior on the women's basketball squad - Aida Bakhos - will also receive her degree on Saturday. She was a first-team Academic All-SLC honoree this past season after earning four letters at LU.

    Plenty of buzz about Khazzouh
    By Amy Dale
December 29, 2006 JULIAN Khazzouh could right now be a star with US college basketball team Colorado, which is sitting pretty with eight wins and two losses.

Instead the West Sydney sensation is preparing for the match against Townsville tonight, hoping to inspire his team to lift as its dire season has stretched to 16 consecutive losses.

He has been the spark in an otherwise torturous year for the Razorbacks, and is a favourite for the National Basketball League rookie of the season award.

But a stellar season on home pine wasn't always the plan.

The 20-year-old 209cm centre caught the eye of Colorado's Metro State University, and he was set to leave Australia for the US in February.

The Castle Hill resident then knocked back the college after coach Mike Dunlap, who had instigated Khazzouh's move, left the team to coach in the National Basketball Association.

Khazzouh received the contract offer from West Sydney shortly after.

Known to Razorbacks coach Cal Bruton as "Julian the Jewel" or the "Franchise" - because he needs to learn to sell himself - Khazzouh maintains he made the right decision.

I'm not racist or anything but I noticed that Antwain Barbour is black.
Is he half Lebanese and half American or just originally Lebanese?
