I don't know I just remembered we discussed here about him and then were explaining that not every family name that sounds Arabic means that this person is originally Lebanese

Till this moment he can't play with any ( his papers are not yet done ).
he will end up playing with only Amchit.

With the latest FIBA ruling in effect we won't be able to have Billy/William Pharis, Daniel Faris and Matt Freije on our NT.

This rule clearly states that any player who gets/retains the nationality of a country after the age of 16 can't be considered as a candidate for the NT unless he is to be considered as the nationalized player (ex. Vogel, Vroman, Hoskin, etc.)

so thats its a huge problem for the national ' team , we are missing several keys , specially the big guys , i think its time to stop focus/searching on the Lebanese abroad in case they can't play with the NT.

we should try to find the lebanese players abroad in the high schools in order to give them the nationality before the age of 17

No it's not a problem at all, look at the bright side no one can blame the coach for not taking these players with him to the NT, since they don't even care about playing with the NT without getting paid. excluding billy

i am 100 % agree with you mavrick , my point is that we have the best point-guard and forward in asia , but our weakness is position 5 . even if naturalized a very good center , it wont be enough ( ok you re going to tell me that we have ali kannan and charle tabet ) we beat iran but the team lacked haddadi and with this player ,everything can change . the things that i hate in our league is that our coach doesnt care to much about the young generations specially fouad abou chakra. now they found a lebanese abroad Omar Karame 2m11 , and he's only 17 years , he can also reach few cm , thats what we are looking for and at least we have to give him the chance to play. what i really appreciate in the Iranian basketball , i remember since 2004 when sagesse participated in the west asia , we meet for the 1 st time haddadi who played during all game ( he was 17 for those who remember ) ok the iranian lost the tournament but gain a future center who earned lots of experiences and now he's in the NBA . another example, roney fahed and fadi khatib when they join the nt they were 17 years old .

He looks average. FAC and Perisic scouted him in Dubai and didn't select him.

tarek ammoury (ncaa div 3 ) signed with anibal zahle according to sportskello.com This guy seems to have a great potential. And as it seems philippe tabet is close to sign with them as well. Which makes it 2 brothers in the same team.
