Default Bang Sung-Yoon selected by NBDL

Bang Sung-Yoon(198-G/F-82) was drafted by the Reno Bighorns in 3rd round 10th pick(42 overall pick) of 2008 NBDL Draft.

He had a standout college career at Yonsei University and even played in the NBDL for the Roanoke Dazzle.

Since joining the KBL, Bang has averaged more than 17 points per game in every season. He earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2006 and All-KBL honors last season. This year, he's been even better, averaging a career-best 22.9 points, which ranks fourth in the league overall and first among domestic players.

He wasn't join 2008 Korea NT because of injury.
but some said he cound join NT, but he didn't join NT to prepare for NBDL draft.
That is true or not, hope he has good result in NBDL.

Bang strikes me as a very one-dimensional player. A great scorer, sharpshooter, pretty strong body, but not much else. Athleticism is average, feet on defense are not very fast either. His chance of making NBA is very slim, and at best will just be a 10 day contract. Of course it will be a big news if that happens. I do admire his courage of leaving the big money behind in Korea to pursue his dream one more time.

Agree with sinobball, but he does deliver for the S Korea NT when the big games come around.

I can't comment on Bang's abilities because I've never seen him play. I'll just say that the NBDL is not a bad league. It's very individualistic and the players are all very young. How old is Bang?

If anything, the D-League will give him a chance to play competition with players who have had NBA experience. Look at Mike Harris dominating his first game in the CBA, and you never know he could end up on a NBA team.

Is he a good shooter? The NBA can always use shooters with height.
