Llanto is sidelined as he just had surgery for his back. Center James Blanes will also not be playing 100% after he dislocated a finger in the zonals.

go carolinians, go USC golden warriors. beat DLSU. it may sound impossible but nothing is definite in basketball. the ball is round and we can make the impossible possible.

Am rooting for my college Alma Matter, De La Salle but I would like to see Emel Rowe show what he can really do. If San Beda was able to run-away om the USJ-R Jaguars due to it's pressing defense, the more potent Pumaren press must be broken by USC Warrior Head Coach Jay Ramirez in order to have a chance of beating the Green Archers. This would be a chance for Emel to show how good he can control his dribble or would he welt to the pressure of the La Salle defense. Unlike Ateneo and San Beda, despite the presence of Rico Mierhoffer, DLSU does not have an imposing frontline. The strength of Franz Pumaren's team is it's pressure defense and if it's arsenal of outside shooters get their rhythm and find the basket.

Any results on the DLSU vs. USC game, no coverage here in the States hehe. What is Emel's height in comparison to Maierhofer are they about equal?

Dude, the DLSU-USC game is still hours away. It is now 8am in Manila and the game is scheduled to start at 4pm.

    Emel Rowe is a 6'4" Filipino-Australian who is a do-it-all SF/SG while Filipino-Austrian Rico Maierhofer is a C/PF is at 6'6".

Pag Xur oi? Hehe, I've read Emel was 6-5 somewhere? must be my misreading, also I've often read rico maierhofer as 6-4/6-5, I Just wanted to see their comparison as Emel is playing AS a PF/C for USC.

being one of the bigger USC players, Emel has been asked to play PF/C but he confided to me that he is not comfortable playing those positions and it is affecting his performance.

With his very lean frame, the height of Rico is negated. And lately he is not that agressive in attacking the basket compared to the time when he was new in La Salle. He really can sky as his verical leap is quite high.

There is really some problems everywhere regarding the true measurements of the players. But I do think Rico is taller than Emel.

Arrow watch out U.v. green lancer

The green Lancers will beat U.E with the big help of Greg, depotado, denison, lanete and cincoflores....

can I ask somebody who are the key players of U.E for this season?

UV should handle the ball well as UE also has the "pumaren press" employed. UE's strength is within its guards. The guards are good shooters and good in pressing the ball.

Slamdunk king Elmer Espiritu, Mr Double-Double Hans Thiele, Bigman Pari Llagas, longrange bomber James Martinez, Mr Energy Paul Lee, Quarterback Marcy Arellano, Paul Zamar (the son of former National Coach Boysie Zamar), Rap Reyes (the son of ex-NCC player Elmer Reyes), sharpshooters Val Acuna and Fhad Bandaying and dependable point guard Rudy Linganay. This UE team is not so tall but they have a very athletic crew who's main weapon is their pressure defense which usually runs for the whole game. Coach Dindo usually uses the players upto to the 12th man in order to maintain the same intensity of it's pressing defense from the start upto the end of the game, so expect a pattern of continuos substitution that most of the time confuses the opposing teams. Practically half of the team is the core of the 2006 PCCL Champion UE Team.
