With this roster I can say that probably Tal burstein will play SF and by that blu will be free to play also PF.

Well if you are serious: 1. He's not Jewish, and didn't they already establish that they don't know of him having any Jewish ancestry?. 2. I believe he has already rep'd the Red, White and Blue.

    Shivek announced extended roster :

Mekel, Naimi, Ohayon, Roth, Halperin, Casspi, Pnini, Eliyahu, Kukia, Kadir, Kuzikaro, Hanokhi, Yavzuri, Rothbart, Sean Daniel, Nissim, Yaniv Green, Landesberg*, Burstein, Blu*, Grunfield*, Rosefeld*

Naturalized players are marked by *

Picking guards will be a major headache, bigs selection seems mucho clearer. The elders of Zion: Kuzi, Green & Blu are expected to rest, so it leaves K+K ( Kukia, Kadir ) as a lone option to fill vacuum @C. Rothbart may join as a backup .

From naturalized players ( no Farmar ?) Landesberg seems like the best option.

Do you guys think Landesberg will ever agree to play for Israeli NT even if he is in NBA (heard he's trying to get in NBA soon?) ?

Farmar found the least convenient time to merry : just before qualification with Serbia and Montenegro in our group

I wish Alex Tyus will get his passport soon enough to help this summer, but knowing how Ministry of Interior works, it would take years

It's up to Shivek to pick him or not. The source says he's already got citizenship, so he may play this summer.

PS. Great for NT, we're in business. Can't wait to see Alex dunking on Pekovic.

To tell you the truth now. If we got Alex and Casppi and every one will be fit for the games it wont be surprise if we will take the first place for me.
Im not saying that now we are the best team in the group but thanks god we got Alex and finally we will have alittle bit peace with the inside game. How much David blu was good he wasnt a center and had alittle bit inside game.
Now our team is more complete.

We're in the same group with Serbia & Montenegro. I can't believe we will beat Serbia head-to-head and minding Serbia & Montenegro is like the same country they could share points between them and leave Israel only 3-rd spot.

Tyus gives Shivek some new options , but I don't see him scoring on/defending Krstic, Pekovic one-on-one. Alex also has to improve his FT percents , otherwise it would be 'hack-the-shaq' all the way.

well there go one of our problems...Pekovic wont play for montanegro. montenegro best C after pekovic is vusevic.... although he is a NBA player he is very young and didnt had an impact on the league yet so its wont will be a surprise if Alex will do a good job on the front line.(the diffrences are not that big than with Pekovic).

we have some chance to finish second and if we will play strong we may finish with very difficults at first (remember, in the eurobasket we almost won, its can be reach )
