nice way for the brits to lose the game..
up by three with 8 seconds left they lost by two points without playing OT..

Hey all, does anyone know how Turkey is competing in both the Efes Pilsen World Cup (Aug 26-30) and the Stanković Cup (Aug 28-31)?

    I must have missed something?

    Turks look really bad..
even with huge help of the refs they can't do much against germans..
and they are playing too hard, same like yesterday.. someone will get hurt..
    especially Turkoglu is playing hard...
edit: well they lost 74-67, I wonder how will Tanjević explain this.. nevermind it was a "friendly" game..
they scored 4 points in the last 5 minutes of the game.. all of them from the FT line..
    pathetic performance..
Turkoglu should be send back to the states as soon as possible..

    Any boxscores guys??????????
[edit] Picek you are totally wrong about Turkoglou, don't judge from a single game.Hedo proved this year he is one of the best Euro players along with Peja,Dirk and Pau.And he never was without motivation playing for the NT,like Okur always was.I bet all my money that Turkey will be really strong in this tournament!

    Oh yes.

Anyway, it is refreshing to see this team play, hope Bauermann doesn't get cold feet and sticks to the youngsters.

There is Robin Benzing [1989] who might even be starting at the three, Per Günther [1988], the third point guard, Elias Harris [1989], difficult to assign a position to, but he can defend wing players and might see minutes as a 2/3 backup [will play for Gonzaga in the NCAA next season by the way], Tim Ohlbrecht [1988], projected the most talented German big man since Dirk Nowitzki, but has yet to have his breakthrough, and there are center Tibor Pleiß [1989] and Lucca Staiger [1988], who are both expected to not make the final cut, but Pleiß in particular should be kept an eye on. Lanky 2.15m/7'1ft center who averaged 5 points and 3 rebounds a game in the BBL last season.

I still don't think we will win a game in Poland, but who knows.

i know germany was really bad on youth champıonshıp. But i saw germans have talented young players. I thınk that squad with nowitzki and kaman would be one of the favourıte country on the turkey2010 if they can manage to enter. However without 2 nba stars in my opınıon they cant do anythıng on the eurobasket.

note:at the press conference turkısh coach tanjevic said : "i promise we will be better on the eurobasket". always same words, i just laugh.
