    Samara Red Wings opened the Russian part of its roster for the next season:
    - Andrey Ivanov, Vladimir Filppov and Pavel Antipov are all staying in Samara;
    - Igor Grachev and Gennady Zelensky renewed their contracts;
    - legendary poet's full namesake and one of the better surprises of 2008-09 Superleague B Alexandr Pushkin is coming back from loan to Avtodor;
    - Trying to prolong his deal, Samara is still in negotiating process with arguably best Russian shooter in 90s-00s Sergey Chikalkin;
    - two bigmen have arrived - Andrey Trushkin (last team - Spartak-Primorye) and Andrey Tsypachev (UNICS)

    One-year contract. Khimki apparently closed the roster

    Evgeny Voronov comes back to Samara

    Georgi Tsntsadze's transfer to Enisey, which was initially put on hold after some problems with visa granting appeared because of dipolmatic break-off between Russia and Georgia, was finally called off. He went to Trikala (Greece) instead

    ok, and now some info which hasn't been "officially" confirmed by the press or clubs' web sites yet, but believe me, my invisible readers [plus Rikhardur], this info is quite reliable

    1) Pavel Antipov, today's best Russian u-18 player and future participant of upcoming u-18 European all-star game, was released from his contract duties with Krasnye Krylya Samara on August, 21st [by special decision of Russian basketball federation's transfers commission, I forgot to say] and is now free to go elsewhere. As I already mentioned above, he was recently spotted at Spartak St. Petersburg training session, so the point of his destination is probably clear

    2) On August, 19th Samara added to its ranks center Sergey Karaulov, San Antonio's 2004 #58 draft pick and unpretentious underachiever at this point in his career
    -----------

    Alexander Pushkin is not returning to Samara after all. Instead he strengthens one of the clearest Superleague B favourites NBA Nizhny Novgorod which announced its roster today

    And now Savrasenko is reportedly on his way to Dynamo Moscow. An official announcement can be made in few days.

    Some more news from Chaos now called Krasnye Krylya. After some totally false statements were made in the press by coach Zozulin and, sorry, copied here by me, I personally got some inside info from Samara. So, a 7-year team veteran Gennady Zelensky and club's native talent, u-20 Russian internatonal Vladimir Filippov were actually never re-signed.

    At the same time Samara signed one of the precious stones of again-fallen in pieces Superleague B winner Avtodor Saratov guard Anton Ageev and journeyman center Alexey Ekimov (According to, hum, coach Zozulin again). Also Dmitry Arteshin was promoted to the first team and Denis Khloponin got his one-year extention. Two more foreigners are expected to close the roster soon.
